Library/Media Center
Our library was renovated with the help of a grant from Target and the Heart of America Foundation. Many wonderful volunteers generously gave their time to help our school. Our library, with its new furnishings, colorful artwork, new books, and technology will excite and help educate our students at Western Avenue Elementary for years to come. Our library provides an environment that supports the curriculum, stimulates learning and develops a lifelong love of reading.
Our Collection
Our library collection holds 11,324 high quality books that support the curriculum. We also have many high interest books that our students enjoy reading. With these many books in our collection, we are proud to have a ratio of books per student at 19.4 to 1!!!
